My article, “In the Artist’s Garden,” appears in the Summer 2026 issue of Canadian Watercolour, published by IWS Canada.
In TAIC’s first year, I bring the curiosity of a Fine Art Consultant, the inspiration as an Artist and the care of a Private Concierge to connecting people with art and places through thoughtfully curated experiences, guiding and tailored resources.
Thoughtful connections. Personal service. Inspired discovery.
These experiences have also helped shape my approach as founder of The Art Index Collective.
"An Index of Refined Living" - The TAIC Approach
VanDusen Botanical Garden has become a place of inspiration, connection and ongoing learning in my life. Returning through the seasons to walk, observe and paint, I began discovering lessons in botany that found their way into my watercolours and shaped my collection, The Art of Becoming in Four Seasons.
The garden’s rhythms of growth, adaptation and renewal deepened both my connection to this place and my understanding of the creative process.
Now, through guiding, I bring these lessons into the art inspired walking tours I curate, inviting guests to discover connections between plants, art and the quiet beauty of nature’s living museum. Through stories, shared curiosity and moments of reflection, these walks bring TAIC’s approach to life and continue to remind me to observe closely, nurture relationships and allow thoughtful work time to develop, lessons I carry into both my creative practice and the business I am building.
